BirchBox - April Review

This month's Birchbox was a bit of a miss for me. In theory, I should like all the products that are in the box since they're items I use, but I just didn't get excited about them. I did absolutely love the box though, and am keeping little knickknacks in it!

The theme for April was Spring. Birchbox partnered with Rifle Paper Co. for a spring design, hence me loving the box.

As all subscription boxes, Birchbox included a card with descriptions of all items in the box. There were five items in this month's box.

Neil George Body Wash - 50 ml value $4.50

I'm not crazy for this body wash, it smells a little funny and takes way more than it should to lather up. Since it's a small bottle, I'll finish it, but I wouldn't buy it.

Fekkai Pre Soleil Hair Mist - 0.7 fl oz value $2.80

I passed on this item right away, it just seemed a bit unnecessary to me. If you live in Florida, then sure, this may be your best way to keep your hair from breaking with all the sunlight and humidity, but it just didn't seem like I'd need it in Seattle. Plus, it spilled a bit in my box, so not only was the sample not full, but all my other samples were oily.

Jouer Tint - 0.03 oz value $9.43

I love how tiny this is and that it stays closed with a magnetic clasp, but the color is just not for me.

Whish Shave Crave Shaving Cream - 25 fl oz value $3.33

This was my favorite item. I had just run out of shaving cream the day before this box arrived, so I was super excited to try it out.

Supergoop! Advanced SPF 37 Anti-Aging Eye Cream - 2 ml value $6.12

I also passed on this item. I'm just a little weary of trying different creams around my eyes without first getting a recommendation from a dermatologist.

Verdict:

Certainly not a hit for me. Out of the 5 items, I passed on 3 right as I took them out of the box and the last 2 only mildly excited me. The only reason I kept them is because they're every day type of things, I'll always need shaving cream and body wash, so it made sense to hold on to them.
