Catching Up

I can't believe it's been more than three months since my last post! I knew moving to New York and starting my MBA would be a bit of a whirlwind, but people weren't kidding when they said first semester is rough. I feel like I've barely had time to catch my breath but at the same time have had the opportunity to do so much.

I stayed in NYC for Thanksgiving, and ended up hosting a friendsgiving instead. I'm so thankful for all the incredible people I've met so far and for how quickly we have all bonded. In a city of more than 8 million people, it's surprising how difficult it is to meet others. Zoey has been settling in well too and is loving all her walks by the East River. The sun setting and the glow over Brooklyn during our walks won't get old anytime soon. I've had the chance to walk from the bottom of Manhattan to the top of Central Park, learning and exploring each neighborhood. I've been able to try numerous restaurants, gone to shows, and enjoyed the NYC nightlife. And let's not forget the shopping, too much shopping. I'm hoping that with winter break coming and a more laid-back second semester I'll have the chance to return to writing.
