Subscription boxes

Now that my life isn't consumed by GMAT prep or flying around the country to interview at business schools, I get to enjoy a bit more of my day to day. And that means shopping. Online. In store. On the phone. Pretty much any way possible. But one of the best parts about shopping for me, is getting home and taking everything out of the bag, knowing it's mine now. It'd be even more exciting if it was a present! So, I decided to rejoin the subscription box world. Why should Zoey be the only one getting surprise presents in the mail every month?!

This past weekend, I wanted to take a few minutes to run through My Subscription Addiction to figure out which box would be better for me. I was expecting to choose from 15-20 different options. But the more I scrolled down, the more boxes appeared! I got so caught up in it, that I didn't even notice the time go by. Lo and behold, 3 hours later, I had a list of boxes I was interested in, out of the 819 (WHAT!) available subscription boxes. I decided to start slowly, since these can get pretty expensive quickly.

I started out by subscribing to Cate and Chloe. I won't get my first box until the beginning of March, but I'm super excited for it, since I liked just about every item that was reviewed. It's pretty awesome that they also let you exchange an item if you don't absolutely love it.

Next up on the list is Ipsy. I don't generally wear makeup, but I love lotions and other beauty products. And the fact that it comes in a cute bag every month has me sold on it.

Here are a few other ones I've got my eye on:
