BarkBox - February

Working at Amazon, I've been spoiled with good customer service. Being on the inside, you can really witness how every decision starts with the customer, so there are few things I appreciate more from a business than good customer service. While I'd never had issues with BarkBox, last month's box was less than stellar in my opinion. I posted that on Twitter and within 12 hours, someone from BarkBox had reached out and I had a $15 coupon code for anything in their store. That's great customer service! In addition, I absolutely love this month's box!

There were 5 items in February's BarkBox: 1 toy, 1 gadget, 2 treats, and 1 chew stick.

Clearly, Zoey likes the toy. It's a Jester hat ball. The three legs sound like they have paper or plastic in it, so they make that plastic rubbing on plastic noise. The big part is a squeaky ball. The card says it's supposed to sound like laughter. I'm not sure it's laughter exactly, but it's LOUD. The first time Zoey bit into it, even she dropped it and was unsure. But then it was too tempting. It looks like it'll last some time.

I was so excited when I saw this at the top of the box!!! It's a water bottle that locks upright so it won't leak, and when you unlock it and turn the bottle upside down, the yellow part (in the back) becomes a little bowl, so Zoey can drink out of it. I've had this item on my wish list at Amazon for mooooonths. But now that it's winter and gross out, I haven't taken Zoey on any hikes or kayak trips, so I never purchased it. But this will be a great little handy tool when spring and summer roll around.

etta says treats are always welcome in this house. I love that all their products are natural. And Zoey loves all the treats we've ever gotten from them. Since all my treats basically come from BarkBoxes, I'm loaded up on treats, so I haven't opened these yet. But I'm sure Zoey will not be disappointed.

This was the only questionable item for me in this month's box. I love the idea of zero artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives. But it's a sizable bag of treats, and the fact that they have to be eaten within 3 days doesn't make it a great option. There's no way I can give Zoey that whole bag within 3 days without her getting sick. So maybe I'm misreading the card? If it's refrigerated, then I have more than 3 days?

Lastly, the ever present chew stick. I think I might give this one a try. When holding it, it didn't feel extremely hard. If it's malleable enough, I may be able to break it in half and have her try it out.

Overall, I'm very happy with this month's box. I like the toy ($9) and it seems like it'll last longer than others do. I absolutely love that they sent the little drinking fountain bottle ($9), super excited to take it out when it starts getting warmer out. The etta says treats ($9) are always a hit here, so a great option. The Catfish Po' Boy ($7) and chew stick ($5) are the only items I wouldn't have gone out of my way to purchase, but I'll give both a try, so it's not a bad deal either. In conclusion, especially after their great customer service last month, I'm super happy with their products and box.
