March Confessions
A couple days after I wrote about subscription boxes and My Subscription Addiction, I got Zoey's BarkBox in the mail. Although I'd signed up for Cate and Chloe in early February, my box wouldn't actually come until March! After receiving Zoey's BarkBox, I didn't want to wait anymore, I wanted mine NOW. So, in my frustration, I signed up for another box........ and another box....... and another box :)
My next box of choice was Birchbox. I had tried Birchbox back in 2013, but most of the samples being sent were bright make-up items only. I cancelled a few months after. A friend of mine recently mentioned that they've absolutely upped their game though. The box is now highly customizable and contains high end products. Considering it's only $10 per month, I thought I'd give it another shot.
Next on the list was Phone Case of the Month. I get bored of my phone very easily, but thankfully, it's a smartphone! I can change up my wallpaper, how my apps are lined up, just about anything, to ensure that it feels new again. Previously, I had an iPhone 4S, and I had about 5 cases that I rotated through. However, after purchasing about 5 more cases within a week, my phone broke! It sucked, I never even got to try out those cases. When I got a new phone, I got the iPhone 5S, so none of those cases fit anymore. I only bought one case for this phone, just a simple, clear case. It was absolutely time to start trying some new cases again, so I'm super excited for this first box to come in March.
Lastly, there was ipsy. When reading through the many boxes I was interested in on My Subscription Addiction, I noticed that numerous people mentioned there was a huge wait list for ipsy. Because the subscription box had gotten popular so quickly, they were having a hard time expanding the business quickly enough to meet demand. Many of the comments mentioned they'd been on the wait list for more than 3 months. Since it's also a fairly cheap box at $10 per month, I figured I'd sign up now and just hang out on the wait list. Of course, by some magic, I got an email less than a week after signing up stating I'd been moved off the wait list and my subscription would start in March! So, needless to say, I'm also super excited for this box to come in, especially since all the samples always come in a little baggy, and I can never have enough bags.
Absolutely looking forward to March and my many surprise presents in the mail!!
